“You can overcome anything, if and if only you love something enough.”
It all started with a passion for collecting tickets. Ever since I was a young lad, I loved collecting tickets from all kinds of events, from concerts to sports games. I would keep them in a box and look at them from time to time, reminiscing about the memories they held.
As I grew older, my passion for collecting tickets only intensified. I started attending more events and collecting more tickets. It then developed collecting tickets from memorable events that I had dreamed of spectating. This took me down a fun rabbit hole of collecting a wide spectrum of tickets. It then became my personal goal to collect all of the tickets from select athletes’ memorable moments. I channelled this down to Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
That’s when I had the idea to create a database that would combine every single ticket so I could work out which ones I was missing.
It was a daunting task, to say the least. I spent countless late nights and hours upon hours of work building a database that could hold every ticket in existence. I wanted to make sure that every ticket had a proper place, with all of the necessary information included.
It started off with Messi and Ronaldo’s memorable moments but very quickly developed into different sports, events and moments in time.
And as I continued to add more and more tickets to the database, I realised that this could be something that could help other collectors as well.
So, I named it “Collecting Tools” and put it out there for the community to use. The website now has over 47K+ tickets spanning nearly 200 years, making it the best all-in-one tool for all ticket collectors.
I have personally used this tool for some time and it has massively helped me as a collector. I no longer have to spend as many hours researching specific events or having to remember every single moment in time, although I still do manage to remember most.
I now look forward to giving this product to my friends in the community so they can receive the same value. I want everyone to experience the joy of collecting tickets without some of the stresses that come with it. My goal is to build this tool with the community by enabling users to add tickets which aren’t already in the database. This experience of co-supporting each other will help bring the community together. So I do please ask kindly if you have any tickets that aren’t on the database, to please add them. This way we can all utilise this tool.
In the end, it’s not just about the tickets themselves. It’s about the memories and experiences they hold, and the joy they bring to those who collect them. And with Collecting Tools, I hope to make that joy accessible to everyone who shares the passion for collecting.
